30-Year Veteran of Hospitality Industry will Lead Midas’ New Western Division
A fixture for 30 years in the west coast hospitality industry has joined St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality to lead its new western division. Kimberly O’Fallon has been named senior vice president of operations and marketing for Midas and will lead projects along the west coast and in major western cities. O’Fallon comes to Midas from Seattle-based InnVentures, where she served as chief operating officer and led a hospitality portfolio of 74 extended-stay and select properties in 11 states.
“The addition of Kimberly is a significant step in Midas Hospitality’s plans to grow our management portfolio and expand our footprint in the Western U.S.,” said Linda Emmenegger, COO, Midas Hospitality. “Throughout the west Kimberly is well known for her creativity and ability to deliver high end results and deliverables for ownership groups.”
O’Fallon, who will be based in Seattle, has extensive experience working with major brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG hotels. Her range of expertise has also included small “mom and pop” proprietors as well as institutional owners and large REITS. She has been honored by Marriott International and Residence Inn as the Mike Dubroff Award Winner for Outstanding Achievement and Diamond General Manager of the Year.
“What drew me to Midas Hospitality was its vision for growth, its people, culture and the respect it has earned from major brands,” said O’Fallon. “They have an exciting future ahead.”
Midas currently has a portfolio of 40 hotels primarily in the Midwest and East Coast, but it also includes The Residence Inn in Lancaster, Ca. and the Vib Hotel by Best Western serving the Phoenix-Tempe community.
David Robert, CEO Midas Hospitality recently announced Midas’ plans for “a grander vision of dynamic hospitality and multi-family projects some of which exceed $100 million throughout the country.” Representative of Midas Hospitality’s more complex projects is its planned $125 million redevelopment of the Wells Fargo campus which includes two seven-story hotels — a Kimpton Hotel and Staybridge Suites — plus a high-end restaurant at the corner of Market Street and Jefferson Avenue. Other major projects include a planned 250-room Sheraton Hotel and AMB Apartments by Marriott in Daytona Beach, Florida and a dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott with accompanying retail in Lenexa, Kansas. The firm is also engaged in a $50 million redevelopment of the historic Edison Brothers Building downtown and last year it completed the $42 million Residence Inn in Clayton, Mo. – the first new hotel to debut in the business community in 30 years.
O’Fallon earned her degree in hotel restaurant administration from Washington State University.
