Taco chain to open location in Midtown

January 28, 2025 – St. Louis is about to get a fresh new spot for delicious tacos with a cause! Tacos 4 Life, the fast-casual restaurant chain known for its flavorful menu and charitable mission, is opening a new location in Midtown.

New Location in a Prime Spot

The upcoming Tacos 4 Life will be situated at the Element Hotel (3753 Forest Park Ave.), a prime location accessible to students from Saint Louis University, Harris-Stowe State University, and Washington University, as well as the business community in the Cortex District. The grand opening is set for February 11.

This will mark the third Missouri location for the Arkansas-based chain, which already has spots in Ballwin and O’Fallon. The new Midtown location will feature a patio, to-go, and app-order parking spaces, making it a convenient dining option for locals and visitors alike.

A Mission-Driven Restaurant

Founded in 2014 by Austin and Ashton Samuelson, Tacos 4 Life operates with a unique “Meal 4 Meal” program. For every taco, salad, quesadilla, rice bowl, or nacho sold, the company donates meals to Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit focused on combating childhood hunger.

“Given its altruistic mission to end childhood hunger and its excellent food, we believe the location at the Element Hotel will be highly successful,” said Linda Eigelberger, Principal and Chief Commercial Officer at Midas Hospitality, which owns and operates the hotel.

Midtown’s Growing Hospitality Scene

The Element Hotel, opened in 2020, is seeing its last retail space filled with Tacos 4 Life. Other businesses within the hotel include UpBar STL (a rooftop bar and restaurant) and Hotworx fitness studio.

Midas Hospitality, the developer behind the Element Hotel, has been making big moves in St. Louis. The company is currently working on a $126 million hotel project at Market and Jefferson and a $50 million redevelopment of the historic Edison Brothers building downtown.

With Tacos 4 Life joining the growing Midtown food scene, St. Louis residents and visitors can now enjoy more than just great food—they can also contribute to a meaningful cause with every bite.
